The Roll Over
Asa can roll over! He first displayed this fancy trick at less than 4 weeks, by flipping over by accident while squirming. Trying to remain realistic about his "advanced skills," we just counted it as a fluke. Sure enough, it was, and we didn't see the trick again until today. Here's the official shot that mommy took this morning to document the landing from his first real roll. (It was taken after clapping and kissing him up, or course.)
To make sure it wasn't another fluke, we waited to see if he'd do it again before posting this announcement. Well, he rolled over again pretty purposefully during his afternoon tummy time. This series of shots shows Asa in action.
The idea.
Mental preparation.
The kick.
Levitation.
Next, we'll teach him to sit.
